RavenWindow™ is the company’s signature product. This adaptive smart-window for use in commercial, residential and industrial buildings uses RavenBrick's thermochromic technology. It reflects the sun's heat outside when it's hot, and lets the sunshine in when it's cool. It saves up to 30% on heating and cooling year round, without using electricity or hard-wired control systems. Besides reducing energy consumption and costs, RavenWindow is easy-to-install, can be retrofitted to fit existing frames and improves the temperate and light-glare comfort for people inside the building.
In its natural state, RavenWindow delivers a clear view of the outside. when the exterior temperature becomes too hot the window darkens, making a near-instant transition. Product will be available 3rd quarter 2013.
RavenWindow™ has been installed at the Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in the agency’s cutting edge headquarters building in Golden, Colorado.
Often, a room calls for a more private or reduced lighting option, such as a skylight or privacy window. RavenLight™ is a daylighting window with the same energy saving properties as RavenWindow. It lets light into the building while maintaining privacy in the same way as frosted glass.
In its natural state, RavenLight provides a nearly-opaque panel that allows only ambient light to enter the interior. When the external temperature becomes too hot, RavenLight transitions to a white panel, blocking heat. Product available mid-2014.
A revolutionary new approach to building. RavenSkinTM uses the same thermoreflective technology as RavenWindowTM, coupled with phase-change material to create a wall system that can actually absorb, store and re-release heat during the winter, while keeping buildings cool during summer. This product will generate further cost-savings and temperature control. Product available 1st quarter of 2014.
